Yes, the apartment has a telephone. However, you will need to purchase a calling card to place long distance calls. You can purchase a calling card from most local Tabac stores. They are located on most street corners. There will be instructions on how to use the phone on the card itself. You may also call collect, but note that 1-800 numbers are not directly available from overseas.

Not surprising, ATMs are everywhere in Paris. An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is located just outside of the building on Boulevard Brune. You can make a withdrawal from your ATM account and receive a better exchange rate than you normally would if you were to go to a currency exchange facility.

Great restaurants in Paris are virtually everywhere. There are several good restaurants on Boulevard Brune and also on Rue Didot. If you're in the mood for a quick and simple meal, you can usually find a Brasserie (pub) on practically every street corner.
