Paris is divided into 20 administrative districts called arrondissements. The apartment is located within the 14th arrondissement in the southern part of the city and close to the city beltway (Périphérique). This area is not a part of the general tourist area so you really get a good feel for Parisian life without the extra noise and traffic. However, you can get to all of the best parts of the city quickly because the metro, bus, and taxi stations are a short one-block walk from the apartment building.
